The Ornament DVDs
Dear Friends:
I've completed the editing for the DVDs of The Ornament performances.
You will notice that I used the plural - DVDs. I originally intended to put both performances on one DVD, but after trying that method I saw that the quality was so poor it wasn't a good idea. So I've put together a package of two DVDs - one for each performance. The performances have been packaged in a case that contains both DVDs.
The cost of all the materials to produce the package came to $4.95 so I'm selling them to choir, cast and support staff for $5.00. The extra nickel will go towards re-ordering blank DVDs and other materials.
A few words about the editing:
As I was editing, there were a few minor "bumps" in the live recordings of the performances - some shaky video, black screens and dropped audio. These are actually quite brief which is why I call them minor "bumps." When appropriate, I filled some of the bumps with either lyrics or credits.
Considering the enormous task of making all the shots, cueing all the sound and lighting, I'm surprised there weren't more BIG bumps. I think you'll agree that our tech crew were incredible. I also think you'll enjoy the recorded drama and music.
Starting this Christmas Eve service at 6 PM, I will have the DVDs available for sale at the Bookstore immediately after the service. If you'd like a copy, please stop by and purchase one. After that, they will be available in the bookstore.
